[PGP-USERS] unknown signature class (fwd)

This showed up on the PGP-Users list. The signature is 0x01:


   0x01: Signature of a canonical text document.
       This means the signer owns it, created it, or certifies that it
       has not been modified.  The signature is calculated over the
       text data with its line endings converted to <CR><LF> and
       trailing blanks removed.

GnuPG doesn't seem to be able to recognise it. Any thoughts?

I've been experimenting with palmopgp, and I was able to clearsign a message
on my palm.  However, when I went to try to verify the signature, it worked on
pgp, but not gpg.  gpg gave the message 'unknown signature class'

btw, it is signed with my experimental key id 0x50F3F076, fingerprint:
