Message-ID: <5531444B.1050406@foramnagaidhlig.net> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, I have just finished translating Enigmail into Scottish Gaelic and I am interested in translation the backend as well. - From what I have read on the web, language selection would be forced by the operating system's language or locale. Is this true? If so, I won't be translating, because most users won't be able to select the language - computers come with en-GB pre-installed and the average user won't know how to change this :'( Kind regards GunChleoc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (MingW32) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJVMURLAAoJEFBz9PVwa++Tin8P+QGbF4eaYTfBiiZswZRCFxtt zgpytOxZgHTIl0DZ5hXriq9qWG+isHgvwln15Cw1abtbNAraZK7QCLLObOAqNKOX YIweKd4LsgOXGlYt3ovPUZF8BBlTkVolTGEdh7FBLi7W9BuCEMN9eqFtI+K56udC e51l+oseOt+mrWfaTazTHNzt7sQpsaMAdFpFLDfdF5SHGfaHn8S4eARV7roro7ue LsNIDBSI3PpmvzFouoxA2dGljy48xsN4GwZ32unkppnn6HC3Tt3wukh1E9pjS3pr autrDIthSX+9ot0u+hsGHhXQzHAqx56FkMPzeYVV2W3Ewz8He0jBnes6kCmbiVV8 8pPeTHyLX2Kw6a4FB6ixqoYzPCUdpRtnLqRv+U7z5l9UeP7uoXN4MS1WhBgDk7ey xmbCorM93awOVwYGhbvZIdNZCDDrRz65CrrqreVicfT4FDeIxciTUVXjrbL1kApd 1u3zC32SdEjbgJPozGmJNn9MK5Z5Yim7I3kjXx2WutZBMzYD6Na2P5rSThj9T/Iu k4kCu4lMuoG03I9YSzsPO5s8AVUirAOW/5UobDqTS7jGlJppC+VsXVgqeqLiA+IE QH1qh5DR6/Tv/4C6CLMvDJY+S44TvIQtMy/srgx9rxTpFYRDzA6lyEhwjyE/qMP3 CHPGakWz4PFx4zT+nQ2t =0J1S -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From wk at gnupg.org Tue Apr 21 10:28:37 2015 From: wk at gnupg.org (Werner Koch) Date: Tue, 21 Apr 2015 10:28:37 +0200 Subject: Language selection? Is this true? If you run a Unix program for example like LANG=pt_BR thunderbird it will use Brazilian portuguese. I am not sure about Windows but at least GnuPG supports LANG as well (Run "set LANG=XXXX" first). Shalom-Salam, Werner -- Die Gedanken sind frei. Ausnahmen regelt ein Bundesgesetz. What about the average computer (or even Windows) user who finds e-mail encryption scary enough as it is? These people will need an easy GUI option, anything else will be unusable for them. A friend of mine has written a blog about the subject which you might find interesting. It's mostly about browsers, but the basic problem is still the same. https://akerbeltzalba.wordpress.com/2011/12/15/detect-locale-manna-from- heaven-or-hellspawn/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (MingW32) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJVNg/pAAoJEFBz9PVwa++TOxYQAOAB7qmHANZ+9JZUsPzgLIP5 As7DQwKMoUYRPmffn9nyS1nvj6It0PbVfeFzleu0McQMM/OgjUGOW8wX5MbR8KCS ij88Ez/K794idPmBRt+1HpMMW5LB8pvDH+UgfnpJ2s3sV0e/X2Tp42/UMXoohYa0 qVQ+KO3DXxBsOWt0jftTSn46sRRjGsSeFTzTtZWvjPoBjM9OFbKgAlUMqVd7uvp9 DazPPk9AgZtGsxSL6ZIuiVMQ3Hs97Q457A+l2iWG7MNe1JPy8VeOpeF3ajUyPXDd RjDhuuG5NMdzfoMKwX44CzDAcUftDJcCDUsmW1vPLFE0madmRYcp5TxfLjAV5d7E pt8pkxY09qxJ/OqGyDCIYS5xLV1f6gGapwjD7ZOLB/Q2p/7Y8RjGPj9Ehy3kVKX2 QKWtRBLuhMqCU1u69WUf4mmPjshkrnBb4xhKQe5RR3ixF7j45UWlI295z23lKkd/ peetJbM6SDxGlhvnFotmCtjAZQdNAY3fl3DUwkvBJtBovL+62mrl1FyPPkb0FpFG 1+sK1gqe/0RZrhnlNYvR7T3lva68ADXapGpdmunQ7x6BFpdEP9AJFrXrW8slLT7B Rddx1bG6xhYTw4h/498EpqQFP7ezi1dAROLtjwOHgl/qIJQnezk+VNTLQn3C326g 6dJUov5YbwUOXRofHJCt =hdMn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
