Sending a public key back to its owner

I can see no problem.  Look:

h0rus:/tmp$ gpg --import johs.asc
gpg: key 7C56C5EF: public key imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg:               imported: 1


Then:

h0rus:/tmp$ gpg --list-sigs johs
pub  1024D/7C56C5EF 2000-02-27 Johannes Grødem <johs@copyleft.no>

May be  he didn't use the right command option?
