From what I've seen of this as well as other lists, I'd say that the answer to
that is a hearty, YES.

Rather than seeing 1.4.x & 2.0.x as different paths to accomplish the same task,
less-experienced users tend to fall into the "greater version # must mean
'New&Improved™' *AND* BETTER" trap.

The "Well, isn't 2.0 better?" question is common.
