We've taken great care to ensure that KMail HEAD still runs on KDE3.0.x=20
(provided it's compiled against KDElibs 3.0.x). You don't need to=20
statically link against kdelibs. You may either statically link KMail=20
against HEAD libkdenetwork and mimelib or recompile knode and korn(?)=20
against HEAD libkdenetwork, too.

I don't know whether the KAddressBook authors did the same, but I doubt=20
it. Then again, KMail works well without the LDAP-enabled address book.
