missing mpi/<asmfile>.lo targets (was Re: autogen.sh failure in libgcrypt)

After linking the missing files from /usr/share/automake/ to scripts/, the 
build goes on until it hits the asm files in mpi/. Compilation stops when 
make complains:

Q> make[2]: Entering directory `/home/mmutz/aegypten/libgcrypt/mpi'
Q> make[2]: *** No rule to make target `mpih-mul1.lo', needed by `libmpi.la'.  
Q> Stop.
Q> make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/mmutz/aegypten/libgcrypt/mpi'

That's the last module that makes problems. All others I have (patched to) at 
least compile and link.
