Hello there,

as i'm quite new to this list (as it seems that the list itself is
quite new :)) i want to ask about the current status of the gcrypt
development. A browsed the archive and found pluto mentioned, i want
to ask about the idea to provide a more generic crypto api into the
gcrypt lib (pluto uses one, too).

My idea behind that is the integration of more specific crypto
devices as smartcards. I would suggest the usage of PKCS#11, as an
GPLed implementation of this one exists (gpkcs11) and it allows
different parties to implement their own crypto stuff. Pluto also
uses PKCS#11 and takes advantage of smardcard integration.

What's your opinion?

Ciao,
    Eyck.
