Are you sure the patch is complete?  I have not seen changes to
libgcrypt.vers and libgcrypt.def which renders this patch useless - you
can't use it because the function won't be exported on systems build
with the GNU toolchain.  Is tehre a doc entry?  A proper commit message
is also missing.  Please see doc/HACKING.
