D'oh! Completely forgot about objcopy to produce a pure binary (.bin)
from .elf. That one does require the proper objcopy binary. Still, it
can be solved by directly patching the .bin with a script that uses the
offsets precomputed for the .bin file.

I use the GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG) in combination with Enigmail.
