Yes, thank you for the prompt response!
For what I'm using gnupg for it's not a concern.
I'll just use the command line argument --no-secmem-warning  to avoid the
message.

Thanks for the prompt response !

I tried this.  Making the program setuid root had no effect when run by a
non-root user - I still get the warning message.  When I su to root and
run it, I get an error message "Bad system call", and the program dies with
a core dump of length zero (presumably deliberate, so no one can rummage
about in an old core file).

As I said, I'm happy enough in my circumstances to let it swap memory if
need be, but I thought I'd report the problems above in case anyone else
wants to look at them in more detail.  (I don't have the time at present.)
