--expiration bug?

I am not sure whether the expiration stuff really works.  I am
addressing this in gpg1.1 but it has turned out that a lot of code
has to be rewritten with the advantage that it will aslo get smaller
and cleaner.

Having an option to set the signature expiration might be a good idea.
