solaris 'as' problem

 These syntax requirement existence since Sun's firsttime solaris2.x
series x86 support OS of 2.4.

 I also compile check in FreeBSD4.2 and Debian/GNU linux 2.2 with
patched version and there are no problem. (FYI)
