pipemode question

I'm working on gabber, and we would like to use --pipemode to prevent
the excessive launching of gpg. How soon will it support the following
operations:

verify signature (already supported, I think)
generate signature
encrypt
decrypt + verify

All of these are done in armored mode for gabber.
