I know those problems, as balsa *is* a multithreaded app and produces 
"hanging" binaries on some platforms (this is related to the linking order 
resorted by libtool...).

If the main balsa developers agree, I think I will start to do the porting 
work, and I'll of course share my results (good or bad)...
