I can't duplicate this problem here, unfortunately.  Can you try
running gpg under gdb and after the segfault, ask for a stack
backtrace?  That should help in tracking the problem down.

i.e.

  gdb gpg
  run f96.pdf.gpg

after the segfault:
  bt
