incompatibility with PGP 8.1?

I retrieved a mail which was encrypted by PGP 8.1. GnuPG was not able to
decrypt it. The mail looked like this:

To be able to decrypt the mail I had to remove the third line:

Maybe PGP is not standard compliant but anyway it would be great to
decrypt PGP messages.
