You shall not build the gpg part.  There is a reason why it is not
enabled by default and developers need to supply --enable-gpg to
configure.

Anyway even if you build it using a modern gcc, you will only see:

  $ g10/gpg2
  gpg: NOTE: THIS IS A DEVELOPMENT VERSION!
  gpg: It is only intended for test purposes and should NOT be
  gpg: used in a production environment or with production keys!
  gpg: Fatal: This version of gpg is not ready for use, use gpg 1.4.x
