The difference it when the software update ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf and put there:
gpg-agent-info /tmp/foo.S

Well... OK... But first let's solve the first issue...
I patched it to work with gpg2... so this is a good start, right :)
I don't understand why in this case you should break backward compatibility...
It is not like you removed a complicated workaround or logic...
