There is something in the works. It needs the very latest version of
some parts and not yet very weel tested. However, it is portable and
pretty easy to do. I gave a talk about it at FSCONS2009 but
unfortunately my example code (for beginners) is still not published.
The idea is simple: You access a UI server and ask it to do the action.
That UI-Server is responsible for key selection and such. We have two
implementations right now: Kleopatra from KDE and GPA.
My testbed is mousepad, a simple editor from xfce. I can post the
my patches but first I need to locate the laptop and fire it up.
