[gnupg-devel] the value of gnupg

Some of you may be interested in this recent story in ComputerWorld:

	Symantec buys encryption specialist PGP for $300M

I had viewed PGP as mostly defunct, but clearly, Symantec saw
otherwise.

Even though gnupg is developed under the GPL, there may well be a
business opportunity here for someone (I'm thinking of Red Hat and
Novell SuSE support models for free software). It could even be that
partnering with Red Hat or Novell could provide a revenue stream
for gnupg development that could support one or more developers
full time.
