I agree that "Free Software" and "Open Source"
basically mean the same state of software.
They are equivalent terms and but when used
they can convey a slightly different style
and attitude of the user.

I also prefer the term "Free Software" over "Open Source"
or "Libre Software". Mostly out of the scientific tradition
to use the original term.
