signature DETAILS

Dear Werner,

The DETAILS file is not currently very clear on the correct way to
parse signatures.

"GOODSIG, BADSIG or ERRSIG will be emitted and they may be used as a
marker for a new signature."

NEWSIG is not guaranteed to be issued at all (in fact, it doesn't seem
to be issued if only one signature is present), and as a matter of
fact, version 1.4 and version 2 frequently issue SIG_ID *before*
issuing GOODSIG, BADSIG, ERRSIG or REVSIG line.

Since the proper processing of these lines is really important,
perhaps DETAILS should be made clearer.  What is the proper way to
detect a marker for a new signature?
