Probably known to some, the service upstream-tracker
seems to have a nice overview about how the ABIs 
developed over time. For gpgme, there are even some warnings,
which may be relevant.

Anatol Pomozov posted here before with a patch,
he is the maintainer of the service.
I've also added the service to wiki.gnupg.org.
