That is also my experience.  Thus I consider TPDU mode much more
flexible because it is easier to fix bugs in our software than in the
firmware.  (Some readers seem to have an non-documented way to switch to
TPDU mode which their vendors use to implement extended APDU mode in
their Windows drivers.)
