Yeah, okay.  However, there is some loss of context and I would prefer
to squash some of them.  I see 3 kinds of changes: 

  - Some general things (e.g. comments)
  - Code to request and provide the cleartext flag
  - The actual export code (2 or 2 of your patches).

If you can do that I will gladly apply them because we urgently need a
way forward and you have existing code.  There are some C-99 issues but
I can quickly clean them up later.

Yeah, that is how the DCO scheme requires.  I think a signed commit
would do it also, but that does not work with mailed patches.
