Why pinentry?  Why not scdaemon?

Pinentry was designed to be as simple as possible and it does not link
to Libcgrypt.  Or well, it should not unless libsecret et al. pull it
in.  In contrast scdaemon does crypto operations and thus implementing a
KDF will be easy.
