In my opinion, it is SDDM which should be fixed.  It seems that SDDM
doesn't support pam_conv(3), that is considered simply wrong (for Poldi,
at least).

I don't use Poldi usually, but I tried your patch.  I'm using lightdm.

With your patch, it doesn't display "PIN too short" message (since
it returns an error).  This is severe regression, I suppose.
