0.9.9 compiles fine under FreeBSD 3.2-STABLE, using BSD make, from the ports tree. FreeBSD 2.2.7 is well out of date, and not supported anymore. I recommend that the user upgrade to at least FreeBSD 2.2.8-STABLE and try compiling then from the ports tree. I do note these lines from the FBSD ports tree: CONFIGURE_ARGS= --with-included-gettext .if ${OSVERSION} < 300000 CONFIGURE_ARGS+=--disable-asm .endif - -- Frank Tobin "To learn what is good and what is to be valued, those truths which cannot be shaken or changed."
