unfortunatly, it isn't that easy. superbonbon% cc -v Reading specs from /usr/libexec/ppc/ Apple Computer, Inc. version cc-783.1, based on gcc version though one must wonder if 'based on gcc...' is good enough. i'll investiga= te this avenue.
