Probably KMail did not generate the detached_signature in textmode,
whcih is required.

The only difference is the way lineendings are handled: CR,LF for
Windows, LF for Unix. However if a signature is created in
textmode, this does not matter.
Trailing whitespaces may be another problem. See the ML archive for
details.
