Yes, that's true. Actually, the maintainer of the key server has a
problem with the domain ch.pgp.net. But she's in progress to switch to
a new domain.
Instead you can use the inofficial addresses of the server:
pgp@tik2.ethz.ch
http://www.tik.ee.ethz.ch/~pgp/

Please have a look at <http://pgp.rivertown.net/>, there you will find
lots of key servers.

No, it is not necessary. If you hate the TRUST... error message, then
you can lsign the keys the avoid the message.
