Why do not use the GPGME library. It contains all the gpg calls you need. But notice, that the library is still 'work in progress'. You can get it from ftp.gnupg.org/alpha/gpgme. There is no documentation at this moment, but the project claimed 'GPG MADE EASY' ;-).
