GnuPG with PHP

Hello,

we want to use GnuPG with PHP. We're thinking of functions like:
gnupg_encrypt(public_key,file)
gnupg_decrypt(privat_key,file)

We want to save the public key as string in a SQL Database.

Is there an opinion to do this. The server works with Win2k.
