I posted it to gnupg-devel, but this thread seems to have migrated. You can get it from http://www.jabberwocky.com/crypto/patch.gnupg-1.0.6.dms.photoid.2 Strictly speaking it doesn't require X - it just runs an external program to display the photo. If you have a program that will work without X, then it should work fine. You can also save the photo to a regular JPG file for future use, and that doesn't require any graphics display at all. V3 of the patch coming soon.
