Hi there, kevin lyda,

On 24 July 2001, I received the following message from you regarding
"Imad"

> running around spreading fud about others work to boost your own is the
> sign of a developer with little confidence in their own work.
He has not done that; in fact, he has discontinued development of all his programs and shut down his website. So I don't see how he can be accused of that. Imad has, for many years, provided versions of PGP for Windows users and his insight and programming and cryptographic record is almost as good as that of PZ. Trust is an overused word, but I trust Imad's works alongside Will Price and PZ. That doesn't mean I have to agree with all he says; he is entitled to his own opinion, however much I disagree with it. But if he is saying FACTUALLY there is more in the Windows binary of GnuPG than in the source code, and that cannot be put down to compiler code, I would have to trust him until he is proven wrong. GnuPG has not been subject to the same rigour of peer review as Imad's own builds of PGP...yet. I wouldn't know "good" code from "bad" code if it leapt up and bit me, and I certainly have not got the expertise to look at or compile the code. That's why I start to look at the judgement of individuals at set my own level of trust, and Imad is one I would trust. - -- Graham <graham.todd@ntlworld.com> Please use my PGP/GnuPG Key ID: 0xE935DB9D Written on 24 July 2001 15:32:21 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (MingW32) Comment: Powered By Becky!2 iD8DBQE7XYo+IwtBZOk1250RAkVVAKCAOjMydVhe0A8mMjCDyChQb4f3+wCfUR8H arzQIzmenVFopku6M1J+R68= =Pgg5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
