I'd recommend not generating 5 keys. Just add uids to one key. For example, here's my gpg --list-key huber: pub 1024D/6B21489A 2000-01-20 Josh Huber <huber@mclx.com> uid [revoked] Josh Huber <huberj@wpi.edu> uid Josh Huber <huber@nightshade.org> uid Josh Huber <huber@debian.org> uid Josh Huber <huber@alum.wpi.edu> sub 1024g/DBC7552B 2000-01-20 You can revoke individual key ids as you can see, and other people have the choice of only signing individual uids that they know/trust are yours. So, unless you're trying to keep your other identities secret (they will all be displayed when a signature is verified), then the one key pair is the best route, IMHO. Now, there still is a problem with verifying signatures -- it lists revoked uids and doesn't mark them in any way. I think this behavior should default to not listing revoked uids, and perhaps showing them with a --show-revoked-uids option. ttyl, =2D-=20 Josh Huber --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAjq3V9QACgkQv+EgZWshSJrafgCdECIvEyKHXGJXwXZNIqi0z6b7 KWIAoI3ncl9SYm42THaNJxnJ8RQloElp =7peJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
