Thanks to everyone for the info. I have learned from your answers. GNUpg is a serious security tool that should be treated as such. People like me (new GNUpg users who want to experiment but don't fully understand the complexity of asymmectrical encryption), probably shouldn't send keys to key servers unless they know exactly what they are doing.
