error messages with Mandrake Update

I keep getting error messages stating that either the rpm has a bad or 
invalid signature or that GPG is improperly installed. Since GPG works fine 
from the command line and with Kmail, are all these rpm's bad or is there 
something wrong with Mandrake Update or ....... ?
