default user in gpg?

Hello,
 I am in the process of changin my last name. Calvert will be my new
last name. For the time being is it possible to use the elznic user ids
as the default user? dfc@lsb always shows up as the key when I export. I
think it is because the period that is after the 5 in user entry list.
What does the period mean?
