Initial Installation Problem

I'm trying to do initial installations of gnupg 1.2.1 on three  HP Servers
running  HP-UX OS 11.11.  The first machine - installation went OK. Second
machine - received error #1. Third machine - received error #2.
1.)  The "./configure" appears to run OK. When I do "make" -> receive the
following error:
                              cc: "../g10defs.h", line 9:error 1000: Unexpected
symbol: "d"
                              Error exit code 1
2.)  The "./configure" appears to run OK. When I do "make" -> receive the
following error:
                              cc: "gettextP.h", line 67: error 1000: Unexpected
symbol: "SWAP"
                              Error exit code 1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
