I recommend they use KMail. It's OpenPGP integration is really good IMO. 
The only drawback is that it currently doesn't support pgp/mime.

Sylpheed also seems to be good from what I heard so far. But I never 
used it.

Evolution is said to support OpenPGP somehow. But I don't know how good 
the support is. After all it's still a 1.0 release. But if your friends 
loved OutSuck they might want to give it a try.

Mozilla still doesn't support OpenPGP AFAIK.
