Yes sure.  One way to create such such a file is "cat foo >bar" :-)

There are still no real world collisions for the MD5 algorithm known
and it is not very likely that it it can be done in the foreseeable
time.  As cryptographers are walways paranoid, they suggest to use the
SHA-1 algorithm which has somewhat better properties and creates a
longer checksum (aka digest).
