That sound great, excuse me if I've failed to RTFM, but I cannot see
how to set this option using gpg. Is that possible, and if so, how?

Also, is it wise to change the preferences for userids, to match the
options provided by the current version of gpg (and is there a clever
way to do this for several userids (same key))?
