Import a PGP key to GnuPG

Hello,

after looking through the FAQs and the Internet for a solution for my pro=
blem,=20
now I am asking this list for help.=20

I am trying to import a friends key to my existing keyring, using the=20
following command:
pgp --import friend.asc

But then I am getting the following mistake message:

gpg: Keine g=FCltigen OpenPGP-Daten gefunden. (no valid OpenPGP keys foun=
d)
gpg: Anzahl insgesamt bearbeiteter Schl=FCssel: 0

What is my mistake??
