Using GnuPG on Windows/Linux

Ah, OK. I assumed it used a lockfile, where it would be up to gpg itself
to look at it.

However, opened files on windows systems can be a pain: they can much
less share files between apps than Linux can, sharing violation is
almost impossible to override on windows.
