Yes it is. But it's not simple, though. There is no "automatic" way to
do it.
GPA does it using gpgme_op_edit to access the edit menu, but that
feature is undocumented and the developers have said in the past that
it's kind of private to GPA.
Anyway, if you need to do it, you can see how I implemented it for GPA
in it's source code (in gpgmeedit.c, I think).
