gpg: gpg-agent

I am trying to test my setup with GPG signatures.
When I try I get error messages 

gpg: gpg-agent is not available this secession
gpg: writing to `-'

I am using suse 8.2 pro with evoltion 1.2.3

I tried executing gpg-agent --daemon and the problem persists.
