gnupg-1.2.3-3.1.92mdk (if that helps)
Typing gpg-agent --daemon appears to start the agent (according to ps aux) but
if I quit KGpg and restart again, I still get the error.

I'm using PCLinuxOS (Texstar's version of Mandrake 9.2). What about my other

Would the primary reason for having the agent running be to enable the Ägypten
plugin for encryption of attachments?
