It's the same as with all other questionable patents.  Nobody is going 
to court to sue you as long as there is (much) more to loose than to 
gain.  Translated, until there's a big corporation somewhere in affected 
European countries starting to use IDEA without paying patent rights, 
Mediacrypt will be quiet.
