I've created the following scdeamon.conf file in my ~/.gnupg/ directory:

> yziquel at seldon:~/.gnupg$ cat scdaemon.conf
> multi-server
> log-file /home/yziquel/var/log/scdaemon.log

I've removed pcscd. In fact, I needed pcscd because I was using some
opensc packge together with some modified version of openssh-client.

Now, I'm left with gnupg, scdaemon, but scdaemon does not seem to want
to talk to the smartcard reader...

Using Thunderbird and Enigmail, GnuPG, et ceteræ, I get the following
output in the scdaemon.log file:

> yziquel at seldon:~/var/log$ cat scdaemon.log
> 2007-06-27 13:41:59 scdaemon[4591] error receiving PC/SC OPEN response: premature EOF
> 2007-06-27 13:41:59 scdaemon[4591] can't select application `openpgp': Non supporté
> 2007-06-27 13:42:13 scdaemon[4591] can't select application `openpgp': Non supporté
> 2007-06-27 13:42:33 scdaemon[4591] can't select application `openpgp': Non supporté

Using an SCR 335 smartcard reader.

Guillaume.
